About

From the kitchen to the codebase

I'm Trevor – a full-stack developer who took the long way here, and is better for it.

For years, my workplace was a Michelin-starred professional kitchen. It taught me to work under pressure, to care about details nobody else notices, and that a hundred small things done right add up to something people remember. Those lessons didn't stay in the kitchen.

When I dove in to software development, it clicked – the same craft of mise en place, timing, and consistency mapped straight onto building for the web. I taught myself to code, then went deep: the interface, the server, the data underneath, and the deploy at the end.

I'm still the person who sweats the details. I just do it in a codebase now.

What I value

  • Craft

The kitchen taught me that the details are the work. I sweat them.

  • Reliability

Clear communication and dependable delivery. Every time.

  • Curiosity

There's always a better way to do it. I keep looking for it.

How I work

  • Ship in small steps

I start by understanding the goal, then work in small, reviewable steps.

  • Communicate Openly

I keep you in the loop and make the trade-offs visible as we go.

  • Leave it better

I care about the handoff – clean code, clear docs, easy to maintain.
